I have been playing fast-pitch softball since I was 9 years old. I fell in love with the game and have never looked back. As soon as I started to enter more competitive leagues I knew I wanted to pursue this sport and play at a collegiate level.
I handle constructive criticism very well from coaches and I apply the correction right away. I'm not afraid to be a team leader, to make mistakes, and to push myself not only as a ball player, but in the classroom and developing character as well. I work very well with my teammates and believe that it takes every single one of us to win a game and to make a play.
My desire for a career is to one day be a teacher, preferably for elementary children. I am anticipating majoring in english also. I want to be a teacher because I've always had a passion to educate youth in any subject or something they want to know more about; I have the patience and skill to work well with younger children.
I try my best and work hard in the classroom determined to receive positive results. I am also volunteering as a Sunday School teacher at my local church, which I very much enjoy.
I am determined to find a college that benefits me not only for my softball ability, but my education and for my life after softball. I hope that someday I am able to educate the next generation in softball, and in school.
