How do I get started?
Call or email Bill to arrange a time for an orientation or clinic. You may bring payment to the first orientation or clinic.
Bill's orientation lessons will go over the entire warm-up and full pitching method.
Bill will pinpoint what needs to be worked on to make you a better pitcher.
Then you may register for private, semi-private or group lessons.
The orientation provides you with a basis to start your path to becoming a championship pitcher.
What if I have worked with Bill before?
No Orientation is need!
Just call or email Bill to arrange a schedule, you may bring payment to the first session.
How do semi-private lessons work?
Semi-Private lessons are really private lessons with one other pitcher to make it more affordable.
Bill will pinpoint areas to work on, each pitcher advances at their own pace.
Once in a while he may bring both pitchers together if they are both struggling with the same problem or progressing with a new technique or pitch.
You will not have as much one on one instruction as a private lesson, but you will still have individual instruction.
How do group lessons work?
Group lessons are available for beginners or advanced pitchers and are more affordable.
Groups usally have 3 or 4 pitchers, groups up to 5 are acceptable (We have 5 pitching lanes).
Anytime there are three advanced pitchers or 4 pitchers at the same level, another instructor may also instruct with Bill if available.
Bill will pinpoint areas to work on, each pitcher advances at their own pace.
Once in a while he may bring the whole group together if everyone is struggling with the same problem or progressing with a new technique or pitch.
You will not have as much one on one instruction as a private or semi-private lesson, but you will still have individual instruction.
What is Bill's teaching philosophy?
Please see the "WHAT'S COVERED" page for general information, however, every pitcher progresses at their own pace.
Initially Bill teaches beginners' mechanics and balance while throwing strikes,
then adding a change-up and locating the fastball in the corners of the strike zone.
Advanced pitchers learn drop-balls, screw-balls, rise-balls and driving hard off of the pitching rubber.
We also teach pitchers to "setup" batters to make your pitches more effective and work with catchers to call an effective game.
Can I cancel a package for a refund?
Is there a cost/penalty for a cancel?
Yes, we will refund any unused portion of your package.
Yes, there is a penalty: one 12 oz bag of Hershey's special dark chocolate Kisses (that's the purple ones).
What if I get hurt in another sport or goofing around with my brother?
There are other sports? Really?
You can either cancel your package or we will hold the package until you are able to pitch again.
What if I cannot attend a session?
Excess absences may get you removed from a group.
Individual private or semi-private / Trio lessons can be cancelled with 24 hours notice.
We understand that you may have family functions that may interfere with your participation (especially on a weekend).
There is no charge for a cancelled appointment, if you purchased a package it will NOT count as a used session.
Groups
Due to the frequent amount of no shows and cancellations on groups, all groups must be prepaid and refunds will not be allowed.
Although if a group knows they will have a number of absences the entire group may reschedule.
Can I rent the entire facility for my team, traveling team or league?
You betcha!
Please call and we will try to work out a time and price that fits your budget.
All times will include my instruction.
What is "Pay as you go"?
Bring your payment (check or cash) and pay Bill before each lesson.
If you are paying cash, please put the cash in an envelope with your name on it.
(This is to credit you properly and not to delay the start of a session.)
You still need to arrange a schedule with Bill.
